We provide comprehensive training in fluoroscopy- and ultrasound-guided pain management procedures across both inpatient and outpatient settings, serving a diverse patient population drawn from multiple western states.

Fellows receive training in a broad range of fluoroscopy- and ultrasound-guided procedures, including cancer-related interventions, spinal injections and ablation techniques, peripheral nerve blocks and neurolysis, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, and minimally invasive spine procedures.

The fellowship teaches a QI curriculum and each fellow presents on at least one QI project at the end of the year.  In addition, they each present quarterly case conferences, which are morbidity conferences that often turn into research presentations.  They have ample opportunity to be involved in ongoing clinical and bench research projects.

OHSU graduates go all over the world.  They are provided with board-prep material and connected with alumni in their preferred geographic area of practice.

Our fellowship does not depend on fellows for production.  We teach because we want to train the next generation of ethical, caring, and excellent pain physicians.  As such, fellows are well positioned to find their unique work-life balance.

The breadth of pain education offered at Oregon Health and Science University is a highlight of our program.  We teach cancer, acute, chronic, inpatient, and outpatient pain medicine.  We teach both extremities and spine, as well as head and neck interventions.
