March 10, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 am MDT
This session is designed for pain medicine physicians in training and will offer an opportunity for students, residents, and fellows to develop both clinical and practice management pain medicine knowledge and skills.
Even highly experienced practitioners struggle to balance clinical effectiveness and efficiency with the fast-paced rate of therapeutic and technological advancements in the constantly evolving field of pain medicine. A speaker panel comprised of both current pain fellows and well-established practicing pain physicians will review case studies that highlight complex patient care and advanced percutaneous procedures and related coding and billing practices.
Discussions about indications, risks, and benefits of a variety of treatments will offer attendees the chance to walk away from this session with tangible, immediately applicable understanding of patient selection and patient safety, as well as documentation and billing tips to facilitate the necessary insurance authorizations.

1. Ultrasound (Large, Medium, Small Joints). Tendon (injection and TENEX)
2. Regenerative Medicine (PRP, Stem cells- autologous, embryologic)
